And then I run across Proverbs 14:30 that says, I always start the summer with the best intentions of being “the fun mom”. But after a couple of weeks, I run out of steam. And we start to fall into the same old routine that doesn’t include a lot of excitement. And then I wander over to Facebook or Instagram and see photos of different friends on summer vacations. And I am envious of the memories they are making with their families. Summertime! There is NOTHING like it! I want to shout to everyone I know that’s a parent that summers are a true gift with your child. So with this thought and my experience, I want to share with you to embrace your summers. Many of it is truly beneficial but sometimes I have to pause for a moment and realize that I’ve been parenting for 30 years there are some experiences that I’ve been through quite a bit more than others in my same shoes with little ones at home.
